It's a rainy Labor Day spent with my friend Chrissy, helping her shop for and purchase a new TV. She shows up wearing a MS State t-shirt reminding me that you can get free chicken strips today at Chik-fil-a if you wearing a college t-shirt. This was a marketing launch for their new chicken strip recipe, just another part of their genius marketing. So after purchasing a new TV across the street at best buy, we swing into chik-fil-a. If you know me, you know that i only
exercise in collegiate shirts, i don't sport around town in them. As we are waiting in line, I notice that everyone in the place has on a collegiate t-shirts. Charlie and I, not wearing a team shirt, also got our strips for free and got a kick out it. Full grown folks in college gear always cracks me up.
BUT THEN, she walked in. The one to top it all. A mom with 4 kids. All the kids had on team t-shirts. Mom, as cool as she is, had turned her purple shirt inside out, tag on outside. She used masking tape to spell LSU on the front of her t-shirt. We all, simultaneously, looked at each other trying our hardest not to laugh.
We salute you, homemade t-shirt making mom!
